More about Mandla Mdletshe

The talented Mandla was born in Vryheid, Stillwater and grew up in Kagiso, Krugersdorp in Johannesburg. He started working as an actor/director at Hillbrow Theatre in 1994. And he appeared in movies such as “Tarzan”, “Inside”, “Ibala” and many local dramas like “Emzini Wezinsizwa”, “Going Up II & III”, “Diepkloof Dynamite Dudes” & “Ithemba Lokugcina”.

He joined SABC as a Production Assistant for 50/50 in 1995 and went to be become a presenter for “Under the Sun”, which was on SABC 1. He was also an insert producer for “Gospel Gold”, “Under the Sun” and worked for “Hossana” as assistant/trainee producer.

Early in 1999 he joined Ukhozi FM as a presenter/announcer, producer and translator. He currently hosts the Jazz Show and Umculo waMazayoni.
