Neliswa Cele is a seasoned radio broadcaster and multi-talented media personality whose career began at the extraordinary age of nine. With over 17 years of experience in the industry, she has become a familiar voice to South African audiences and a dedicated contributor to the growth of youth-focused broadcasting.

Born with a natural gift for communication, Neliswa’s journey into radio started on Radio Khwezi, where she hosted Kids on Air. By the age of eleven, her talent had already been recognized nationally when she received both the Best Presenter Award and Best Overall Winner Award at the 2008 SABC Community Radio Awards.

At fifteen, Neliswa joined Ukhozi FM, South Africa’s largest radio station, where she hosted State Your Mind, an educational program aimed at children. Her role evolved with her age, and she later became the host of Teenzone, a platform that tackled youth-oriented topics with insight and authenticity. In 2017, her impact on young South Africans was formally acknowledged by the Ministry of Higher Education.

Neliswa also helped pioneer Ukhozi FM TV, the station’s video podcast channel, where she continues to conduct in-depth interviews with a range of high-profile guests, expanding the station’s reach beyond traditional radio.

In addition to her broadcasting work, Neliswa has developed a passion for radio drama and voice acting. Her talents have extended to television, with appearances on popular shows such as the telenovela Durban Gen. She is also active in the field of motor journalism, partnering with automotive brands to produce engaging reviews and content.

Balancing a demanding media career with academic achievement, Neliswa earned her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2020, leaving a lasting legacy at the institution.
