Siphiwe Sibiya is a seasoned broadcaster, journalist, brand ambassador, and Soul and RnB DJ, with over 11 years of experience in the radio industry. Known for her dynamic presence, Siphiwe has built a reputation for excellence in both her broadcasting career and other ventures, always seeking to maximize the opportunities that come her way.
Born and raised in Pietermaritzburg, in the KwaMachibisa area, Siphiwe is passionate about leveraging her diverse skills to make a meaningful impact. Her educational journey began at Esigodini Primary School, followed by Edendale Com Tech High School. After high school, she pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering at the Vaal University of Technology, where she continued to build a foundation for her future endeavors.
Siphiwe’s radio career began in August 2014 when she joined KZN Capital 104 FM, where she hosted various shows. She took a brief hiatus in 2016 to pursue her Diploma in Journalism and Media Studies and Radio Production, further strengthening her expertise. In 2017, she joined uMgungundlovu FM, where she was entrusted with two prominent time slots: weekdays from 21:00 to 00:00 and a Sunday slot from 15:00 to 18:00. During her time at uMgungundlovu FM, Siphiwe was honored with an award for being the Best Radio Presenter and received a nomination for the Best Music Show at the South African Telkom Radio Awards.
A significant milestone in Siphiwe’s career occurred in 2024 when she won the prestigious Winnie Mahlangu Female Presenter Search on Ukhozi FM.
Beyond her broadcasting career, Siphiwe also excels as a public speaker, brand ambassador, and Master of Ceremonies. Her deep passion for Soul and RnB music continues to influence her work as a DJ, captivating audiences with her unique style and energy.
