Vusizwe Langa is a leader, self-motivated, creative, trustworthy, sincere, result oriented, responsible and an adaptive individual who is always willing to learn new things in the field he is deployed to.

He is a proud rural Zulu man from Nkandla, KwaZulu-Natal, in a village called eMachunwinini kwaVimbombobo. He was born and raised there, herding his father Magulukudela’s cattle on the mountains of Ithala and Maxhegwana. He began his education at Ohlahla Primary, KwaVimbombo, Siyabathwa KwaDlomo, Chwezi eZibisini and completed high school at Mngandi High eZibisini.

Vusizwe possess strong TV and radio broadcasting skills, along with freelance journalism experience. His journalism career began in the late 90s as a Freelance Journalist for Bona Magazine. He later transitioned to electronic media and worked as a news journalist for Voice of Soweto, Soweto Community Radio and Jozi FM. He then joined eTV as a Presenter and Producer for the channel’s Morning Edition.

In June 2006, he joined the SABC’s Ukhozi FM as a Current Affairs Presenter and Producer. In 2013, he moved to ENCA where he contributed to launching its first ever prime time 30-minute IsiZulu News Bulletin on its OVHD Channel. He returned to the SABC in 2014 and was promoted to IsiZulu News Bulletin Editor in 2016. He is currently doing Ukhozi FM’s one of the biggest shows, Sigiya Ngengoma.

“I am very excited to do Sigiya Ngengoma and the show challenges me every day because it’s very close to Maskandi music lovers and are very quick to critique. Be that as it may, the show is the place where I express my love and passion for Maskandi Music and IsiZulu culture” said Vusizwe.

He has also contributed to the launch of an IsiZulu News programme on Newzroom Afrika, Izindaba Zethu, broadcast on Mzansi Wethu Channel 163 on weekdays
