About

Lindani ‘Leeh’ Hlophe is a multifaceted South African creative—radio DJ, actor, and author—known for his engaging presence on air and his inspiring voice off it. Born on 5 February 1991 in KwaNzimakwe, Port Shepstone, Leeh’s passion for radio was evident early on, prompting his move to Durban in 2010 to pursue a career in broadcasting.

In 2012, he enrolled at Creative Arts College to study Radio Production, laying the foundation for his future in the industry. The following year, in 2013, he began his radio career at Inanda 88.4 FM, starting in the midnight “graveyard shift” (00h00–03h00) before earning a drive-time weekday slot (15h00–18h00). He later transitioned to hosting weekend shows, including the station’s breakfast and hip-hop programs.

Leeh’s talents soon extended beyond presenting. In 2015, while still with Inanda FM, he joined the Ukhozi FM Drama Department as a voice actor—an opportunity that sparked his journey as an author. Inspired by his own experiences, he penned the motivational book “I Own My Dream”, written to encourage young people to pursue their ambitions regardless of their background or challenges.

In April 2018, Leeh officially joined Ukhozi FM as the host of the station’s flagship hip-hop show Namba Namba, further cementing his influence in South African youth culture. His contributions were widely recognized in 2022 when he won the award for Best Radio Show in South African Hip Hop. In 2023, he was nominated for Best Night Show at the Telkom Radio Awards and received two internal accolades at Ukhozi FM for Most Grown Shows.
